In the last few months, there are a lot of developments regarding the new aerosol measurement infrastructure in Lutjewad. The plan is to build an inlet system that can sample from 20m height (10 meters above the dike) and transport the air to a container lab. The schematic of the setup is seen on the picture below.
Over the summer, the setup was designed, parts were ordered and placed in Lutjewad. The main pipe is now attached to the Lutjewad tower and the container is placed on the foundation. The connection from the main sampling pipe to the container (orange on the picture above) is yet to be tested and calibrated for particle loss.
