Many instruments for the Ruisdael Observatory have been ordered and are in the manufacturing process. The first custom-made laboratory container for the Rotterdam site is ready. The lab will be transported and installed at the location south of Rotterdam (Westmaas) in October 2019.
Also Ruisdael’s mobile spectrometer has arrived and successfully passed its first tests. It will be deployed on the mobile measurement facility, with the aim to investigate the use of satellites to track urban greenhouse gas emissions.
The arrival of other instruments, like a micro rain radar, several distrometers, cloud radars, microware radiometers and distributed temperature sensing systems, is expected in the coming months.
