Symposium
Friday 26th of October there will be a symposium with international speakers. Attending the symposium is on invitation
only due to the limited space on site. The first announcement has been send out by email recently. The preliminary programme:
- 9:00 - 9:30 Reception of participants with coffee and tea
- 9:30 - 12:00 Symposium:
- Opening by Dr. Ir. Frits Brouwer (Director of KNMI)
- Dr. Roeland van Oss, 40 year Cabauw (KNMI)
- Prof. Dr. Ir. Herman Russchenberg (Tech. Univ. Delft Climate Institute)
- Dr. Franz Berger (Director of Richard Aβmann Observatory, Lindenberg, Germany)
- Prof. Dr. Susanne Crewell (Univ. Cologne)
- Prof. Dr. Tom Ackermann (Univ. Washington, USA)
- Prof. Dr. Anthony Illingworth (Univ. Reading, UK)
- 12:00 - 12:30 Discussion session, chaired by Prof. Dr. Pier Siebesma (KNMI, TU-Delft)
- 12:45 - 13:30 Lunch
- 13:30 - 16:00 Site-seeing: energy balance terrain, remote sensing site, BSRN station and gasses/aerosols measurements
- 16:00 - 17:00 Gathering for a drink
In the afternoon people are invited to have a look around the site where scientists will present and explain their systems and research.
There will be time to discuss the research and other issues e.g. how to manage an observatory like CESAR.
